Lars Deltrap
My name is Lars Deltrap, welcome to my website. I am an illustrator, animator and teacher. In addition to editorial illustrations for magazines and newspapers, I make animations for television, illustrate books and write and illustrate my own stories. Clients I work for include Querido, Gottmer, Sesamstraat, Zin Magazine, De Volkskrant, Quest Magazine, Zwijsen and Malmberg. Next to working in my studio, I teach art to students. I have taught at various institutions such as the TU Delft and the Amsterdam University of the Arts. Currently I work at the Illustration department of the Willem de Kooning Academy in Rotterdam.

Jorrik de Ork

Illustrations for a children’s book series written by Thijs Goverde, published by Ploegsma in 2016 and 2017.

Jorrik is half ork, half human. He is sometimes bullied with that, especially by the knight’s son. One day the bullying ends in a big fight, which means Jorrik has to flee. His mother takes him to a magical village, where many more special children live. Jorrik is safe here. But the village is on the border with the Wisselwoud. There live elves and dwarfs, trolls and… orks!
