Lars Deltrap
My name is Lars Deltrap, welcome to my website. I am an illustrator, animator and teacher. In addition to editorial illustrations for magazines and newspapers, I make animations for television, illustrate books and write and illustrate my own stories. Clients I work for include Querido, Gottmer, Sesamstraat, Zin Magazine, De Volkskrant, Quest Magazine, Zwijsen and Malmberg. Next to working in my studio, I teach art to students. I have taught at various institutions such as the TU Delft and the Amsterdam University of the Arts. Currently I work at the Illustration department of the Willem de Kooning Academy in Rotterdam.

Hoe ik de vissen leerde vliegen

Illustrations for a children’s book written by Ulf Stark, published by Querido in 2020.

Grandpa puts Ulf to the test: in order not to be called lazy, Ulf will have to prove that he can do all kinds of jobs, from early in the morning until late at night. Fortunately, Ulf’s other grandfather comes to rescue him with a clever plan.
