Lars Deltrap
My name is Lars Deltrap, welcome to my website. I am an illustrator, animator and teacher. In addition to editorial illustrations for magazines and newspapers, I make animations for television, illustrate books and write and illustrate my own stories. Clients I work for include Querido, Gottmer, Sesamstraat, Zin Magazine, De Volkskrant, Quest Magazine, Zwijsen and Malmberg. Next to working in my studio, I teach art to students. I have taught at various institutions such as the TU Delft and the Amsterdam University of the Arts. Currently I work at the Illustration department of the Willem de Kooning Academy in Rotterdam.

Imagination TU Delft

Art education project about storytelling, character design and set design at the TU in Delft, from 2009 to 2012.

For a minor called Imagination at TU Delft, I coached students from 2009 to 2012 in realizing short animations. Together with collegue Helen van Vliet I mainly focused on storytelling and on character and set design. Most students had never created an animation before, which made the project very exciting.
