Lars Deltrap
My name is Lars Deltrap, welcome to my website. I am an illustrator, animator and teacher. In addition to editorial illustrations for magazines and newspapers, I make animations for television, illustrate books and write and illustrate my own stories. Clients I work for include Querido, Gottmer, Sesamstraat, Zin Magazine, De Volkskrant, Quest Magazine, Zwijsen and Malmberg. Next to working in my studio, I teach art to students. I have taught at various institutions such as the TU Delft and the Amsterdam University of the Arts. Currently I work at the Illustration department of the Willem de Kooning Academy in Rotterdam.

Wat Mick zag

Text and illustrations for a children’s book published by Querido in 2020.

Mick and Hannah are going to stay in the Ardennes for a weekend. The hotel that mom and dad chose is not as modern as they expected. Actually, it is somewhat mysterious. At least that’s what Mick thinks. Are things disappearing? Why do some guests behave very suspiciously? And who is there in a boat on the lake at night? His sister and parents do not notice anything. But fortunately Mick sees everything! Large spreads show how detective Mick keeps an eye on things and reveals a mystery.
